Privacy
Fanzone is a free hobby project for World Cup 2026 games. Here's what it stores and why, in plain English.
What we store
- Your name and emailwhen you save predictions or create a sweepstake or league. Both are needed so we can save your picks to you, send your link and results, and recognise you if you come back on another device. Joining someone else's game needs your name; email is optional there.
- Your predictions and drawn teams, so the games work.
- If you sign in: your email address (via our auth provider, Supabase) so we can link your sweepstakes, leagues and predictions to you across devices. We match them by the email you used, so entries you made before signing in get connected to your account.
- If you send feedback: your message, your email if you add one, and a little context (the page you were on and your browser type) so we can reproduce and fix the issue.
- On your device:small bits of local storage remember which games you're in and your theme. These never leave your browser unless you join a game.
What we don't do
- No advertising trackers, and we never sell your data.
- We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (via Vercel) to see which features get used and how fast pages load. It's aggregate and anonymous, never tied to you personally.
- We don't handle any money. Entry fees and prizes are arranged offline between you and your organiser.
Affiliate links
Some “buy a team shirt” links go to Amazon as an associate. If you buy after clicking, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Following one takes you to Amazon, where their privacy policy applies.
Third parties
Data is stored with Supabase (database & sign-in), the site is hosted on Vercel, emails are sent via Resend, live scores come from football-data.org, and some shopping links point to Amazon. Each only receives what's needed to do its job.
Deleting your data
Want your details removed? Email hello@alexbuilt.it and we'll sort it.
